27/10/2009 （Tues) 农历9月10日: Today We went to 后港斗母宫 to watch Getai. We are quite familiar with 后港斗母宫 as we always went to our Nanyang Neo Clan Association at Kovan Road to pay respect to our grandmother and granddad. The journey itself is not too far, only took us 30 min by taking bus 132 or 55 or 25 and transfer bus 107 or 82 to the temple area.

I liked Lin Ru Ping. Mum said Lin usually will not speak any crude words. I find that Lin never make fun of her audience esp that audience named Jenny whom always appear in front of the stage to dance. Lin had not make a single words of anything insulting to that particular audience - this is a great respect for that audience esp and that move had earned my respect to Lin also.

Today singers are 陈凯晴, Zhong Jing Ling, Lin Xiao Ting, He Pei Ling, 庄清玉, Mai Hui, Qi Xuan (Xiao Mingzhu hubby) and lastly Zheng Ying Ying. We arrived at the area at around 7.55pm with Tan Kai Qing being the second singer. Today getai is pay by Aaron Tan(boss of Lex entertainment) and his family. Heard from Lin that she is the one whom introduced Tan's wife to Tan. Aaron was also at the getai area today.

Today getai is good. The singer that left the deepest impression to me is 奇贤 - super funny guy. He had gave his audience '4D' number -- 7476. He said that everytime he went on stage with Lin Ruping, their 4D number will stike. Hopefully this 7476 will open these few days - ha...

Tan Kai Qing - she sing quite well. Mum said Kaiqing sing better than Lee Bao En. I would said both are good in their own way. Tan sing well and Lee is cute.





Zhong Jing Ling (updated on 01/01/2010) ---I think i get the name of this singer wrongly but i key ' Zhong Lixin' into my handphone. That's right, i key every singer's name into my handphone so i can blog first and uploaded photos when i returned home from work

Ho Pei Ling - i though she will be singing 十二神歌 but she did not. A bit disappointed as i liked 十二神歌 esp the version sing by Hao Hao.

麦卉 - I also liked her, she has wished everybody - young and old good blessings. Ya, i got 'blessed' too to have a good husband, ha......................

25/10/2009 （Sun) 农历9月8日: Today we went to Yishun Ring Road to watch getai again. Second time went there. Today getai is organised by 旅者歌舞秀. The company that i working now is also using 旅者歌舞秀 for the past two years but usually during our company 7th month festival, I am not free to watch the getai as that day is usually fix for our 7th month auction where i am always at the Admin table. This year, i can actually seen the getai stage from my admin table, but at that time i am still not so engross in getai. My perception of getai in the past is i dislike the loud noise and felt that the words getai ppl used are very crude. It all changes at end of September when i started to watch online videos of getai and i am more used to hearing rough speaking words. Still remember that time our company getai event emcree was Lan Tian.

Back to sunday getai, today singers are Ricky, Lin Shi ling, Sun Quan, Qiu Wen, Kai Li (from Taiwan), Xiao Qing (from Malaysia), Singapore version Fei Yu Qing and Xin Xin (from China).

I liked the singer called Qiu Wen, not only he raise the atmosphere to a max high, he can sing well too and get the audience to join in the fun part. I felt this singer is a role model of a getai singer. His style is the same as Lan Tian. Can dance well and have a powerful vocal. Singing is one thing but bringing the crowd into the singing and rock the floor is another thing that i felt some getai singers lack this type of special skill.

BTW, there is no host tonight. Each singer is supposed to introduce the next singer themselves. Actually i prefer a host as i like the small talk in-between.









Ricky - a singer whom also sing in NTUC club, he mostly sing Cantonese today. Though i do not understand Cantonese, the music sound great

I like Kai Li custom today, she's quite hot and sexy

I like how Kai Li always change from this long costume to the below costume instantly, not too over-revealed but yet sexy. She is the only singer i knew whom had changes to their own clothing in the next song instantly.

Singapore Fei Yu Qing, he's quite boring, mum actually sleep while he's singing. Yawns....

Xiao Qing from Malaysia, she can sing quite well.

Xin Xin from China - we left the area and move to the gezaixi to wach the ending

Banner for 26/10 Monday getai at 3.30 pm. Too bad i need to work, mum and dad had went there today. Heard mum mentioned that hao hao had sing at the area wearing the half man half woman special custom.
