03.02.12 农历正月初十二日(Fri):Went to Temple at only 830pm. Initally thought tickets are all sold out coz the counter were already closed. Luckily we went to the office to buy sat tickets and then also bought today ticket.

The story of today story is smiliar to the one i watched by Chen Mei Yun in year 2005. Almost all the plot are the same. Actually the story is similar to Chen Shimei - Bao Gong An.

戏名：施公案

A guy saved a princess. He was able to entered the palace as a result. When the princess agreed to marry him, the guy agreed despite he been already married. He had lied to the lord, wang ye whom quetioned whether he was married. So the princess marry the guy. One day, princess and her fu ma went to the outer area. The wife happen to see the guy and recongised him as her long lost husband. She chased him all the way to his house. Upon seeing her, he lied that he will inform the princess he had already married. After she left, the guy send a killer to murder his wife and mother. His younger brother escaped and found wang ye to help him find justice. The princess mum tried to stop the trial. With no choice, wang ye went to find his father to help him.

Second trial -As the corpses of the mother and wife went missing, the trial was stopped. However, a drunker appeared in the court and told wang ye he found two bodies and kept them in his house. The bodies were recovered. The ghost of the wife make the husband in a dizzy state. The truth was revealed and the guy was arrested.




For his own interest, he lied that he was never married




Poor wife, mum and younger brother were in the dark

In an outing, the poor wife saw the heartless fellow


Without doubt, she decided to chase heartless


Heartless lied and stupid wife believe. In the end, she was still killed by a killer send by heartless. so is the mum.


Younger brother find justice with wang ye but the first trial was unsucessful coz the Empress Dowager side with heartless


太上王 to help


In the second trial, a drunker found the bodies and provided it for younger brother to give evidence. Heartless was bewitched by the spirit of the wife and in the end, the truth was revealed.

27.01.12 农历正月初五 (Fri): Went to Sheng Hong Temple and were late for opera coz stupid bus 76 did not arrived despite us waiting for 15 min.. haizz.. so much for better bus services in Singapre, it will never happen.. In the end, we took bus 73 to YCK road and transfer bus 43 to sheng hong temple.

We did not enjoy today opera, mainly becoz today is a tragic story. I think if the opera name suggust a tragic feel, should not have watch the opera coz it is vv boring to watch a tragic opera.

Very simple story:

Woman fall in love with guy. Guy need to leave woman. Woman's dad forced her to marry another guy. Ex lover jealous, killed hubby. Woman killed herself. Ex lover died too. Boring story plot, make me play with my phone towards the end.

24.01.12 农历正月初二 （Tue): Day 2 watching Opera. I quite enjoy the story today.

盘丝洞 as the story mentioned is about spider spirit and related to 西遊記. Xiu Qin opera had added 红孩儿， 女人国, 蜘蛛精 to the same story plot. Only 红孩儿 is a small area while the other two story are merged into one story plot. Quite like this merging.. not the same as the one we watched long time ago.

Xiu Qin and her daugher, Xin Yi really acted very well esp Xin Yi as Sun Wu Kong. Mum was full of praises for xin yi acting. I too enjoyed today opera very much.


孫悟空、唐僧、豬八戒、沙僧 on their quest to the west



红孩儿 tried to create trouble for the foursome. 红孩儿 is casted by 米雪


Guan Yin appeared to help them


红孩儿was taken away by Guan Yin


Spider Spirit and her demon spirits helpers


Spider Spirit learnt that 唐僧 had appeared on her area. As like other demon, eating 唐僧 meat will give demon endless life


张心怡 as 孫悟空. She is really good, better than her xiao sheng role. Nice seeing her acting as a playful monkey.


Mummy 张秀琴 as 唐僧 is also very good esp her later part, her performance is prefect

The queen had been dreaming of her prince that looked like 唐僧


When 唐僧 appeared to gain entry to her nation, she seduce 唐僧 but was rejected




Spider spirit appeared and take control of the queen body

Seeing piggy, the demon decided to disturb him


Piggy was happy to see pretty girls


Spider spirit fight piggy. Sun Wu Kong tried to fight spider spirit but was defeated. His master was captured by the demons


土地公appeared and told wu kong abt the demons history


Wu Kong appeared as a woman so that he can approach his master that was captured by spider spirit


Spider spirit wanted to marry tang san


WU Kong tricked spider spirit to drink as celebration of the wedding




Wu Kong informed his master of his plan. He planned to switch body with his master.




Switch body, wu kong is now master. master is now wu kong.. this is so funny






Wu Kong makde fun of the spider spirit. Xiu Qin demonstated that she is 宝刀
未老 by jumping here and there. Really admire her. After saving his master, they switched their body back




Eventually spider spirt was defeated
