06/02/2012 12 农历正月初十五(Mon): Today I had went direct to Sheng Hong Temple for getai after work. From my workplace at Ubi Ave 3, i need to take an 20 min walk to the temple. I am able to reach there by 630pm.

Today is quite a unique performance because all the singers are from 全球闽南语歌唱大赛. The name of today performance is called 全球闽南语歌唱大赛精英集聚狮城闹元宵演唱会2012. It is worthwhile the time to watch from 7.30 to 1045pm. I had taken two seats, mum only arrived after 830 pm and i had a difficult time telling her of the seats. Should have take note of the location.

I had finally find a nice program to watermark my photos, will watermark all my photos in future. I wanted to create an image watermark but the ones i created are not good. Maybe should polish my photoshop so that i can create better logos.

Singapore 陈凯晴




Singapore 林轩汉 - His stage performance is only in the hokkien competition but overall, he perform quite well, just need to learn to speak loud and clear to audience next time, hope he can perform in getai soon too.




Malaysia 陈雪芬 - very pretty, i quite enjoy her performance. Heard her dressing had won her some prizes in the Hokkien competition. She is not a new bird, she had perform in getais in Malaysia.




Singapore 周俊安 or in getai, his 艺名 - 宏扬. I still prefer his chinese songs.


Indonesia 周月婷, i did not really listen to her songs as that time, i am busily directing mum to my seats


Singapore 黄振隆, all hosts agreed his singing had improved tremendously, i am just okay wit his singing.. although he is good but then...






Hao Hao Performance time - he sang two songs tonight. I had rec both songs and uploaded them. I am not satified with the quality of my video, it should be better without so many dots..haizz


Malaysia 蔡铭国 - he is a talent, both in composing songs and in singing. Do not judge him by his looks coz his singing rocks..


Taiwan 蔡怡芬 - I find her singing to be too soft while the music is too loud.


Taiwan 李俊杰 - we left after he appeared as his performanc is at 1045 and we need to catch the bus home. He looked like mini Zhuang Qingyu..haha, never hear his singing seriously but i guess he is good too.

04.05.12 农历正月初十三日 （Sat): went for one last night of gezaixi for mum and myself. There is another one very last show on sunday but we will not be going.

Mum was not pleased with today performance coz today story had no meaning. Haha, i am okay coz certain part of the story are quite funny.

戏名：水姑娘找安

Story line is quite simple:

100 years ago, a guy left his wife and daughter. His wife and daughter later died when robbers tried to rape them. The wife killed the young daughter and later knocked her head to death.

100 years later, a guy was good for nothing except going to find prostitutes and spending all his dad money. As a result, he was chased away from home. In the wood, he saw a group of young ladies dancing and singing. He followed them to a temple. Unknow to him, these ladies are actually ghosts. The prettiest of them all - shui gu niang requested him to marry him. As the guy think she is pretty, he agreed. The guy returned home. When he showed his dad a bag consisting of a death cert, the father realised his son was haunted by a ghost. The dad hired a priest whom do nothing to prevent the haunting. As a result, the guy married the ghost. On the wedding night, the son and his girlfriend played with the ghost tablet. The ghost was angry and haunted the dad and son. The dad later kille himself while his wife pleaded with the ghost to let the whole family go. the wife agreed to let his son marry the ghost.

Fast forward to present year, the ghosts are playing in the wood








Good for nothing son was only interested in his prostitute girlfriend and spending his dad fortune




Angry with another day of spending all his money, the dad finally chased useless son away from home




In the wood, the guy meet the ghosts. but he had no idea whom they are. He followed them to their house, an old temple




He asked shui gu niang to let him stay overnight. Shui gu niang then requested him to marry her and he agreed.




The guy returend home and his dad realised he was haunted by a ghost


A priest was hired


At the temple, the story was backwarded to 100 years ago where shui gu niang was murdered by her own mother as the mother do not want them to be rape by robbers. The mum later killed herself too


The guy decided to bring his GF to see ghost








The priest was defended. He suggested the family to allow the ghost to marry the son


Marriage was conducted




In own room, the son and his GF mistreated the tablet and the ghost was angry


The ghost decided to find the family




The dad kena first but later he killed himself.


The mum pleaded with the ghost to let the son off. She agreed when the son agreed to the marriage.


The son eventually married a ghost and his GF

03.02.12 农历正月初十二日(Fri):Went to Temple at only 830pm. Initally thought tickets are all sold out coz the counter were already closed. Luckily we went to the office to buy sat tickets and then also bought today ticket.

The story of today story is smiliar to the one i watched by Chen Mei Yun in year 2005. Almost all the plot are the same. Actually the story is similar to Chen Shimei - Bao Gong An.

戏名：施公案

A guy saved a princess. He was able to entered the palace as a result. When the princess agreed to marry him, the guy agreed despite he been already married. He had lied to the lord, wang ye whom quetioned whether he was married. So the princess marry the guy. One day, princess and her fu ma went to the outer area. The wife happen to see the guy and recongised him as her long lost husband. She chased him all the way to his house. Upon seeing her, he lied that he will inform the princess he had already married. After she left, the guy send a killer to murder his wife and mother. His younger brother escaped and found wang ye to help him find justice. The princess mum tried to stop the trial. With no choice, wang ye went to find his father to help him.

Second trial -As the corpses of the mother and wife went missing, the trial was stopped. However, a drunker appeared in the court and told wang ye he found two bodies and kept them in his house. The bodies were recovered. The ghost of the wife make the husband in a dizzy state. The truth was revealed and the guy was arrested.




For his own interest, he lied that he was never married




Poor wife, mum and younger brother were in the dark

In an outing, the poor wife saw the heartless fellow


Without doubt, she decided to chase heartless


Heartless lied and stupid wife believe. In the end, she was still killed by a killer send by heartless. so is the mum.


Younger brother find justice with wang ye but the first trial was unsucessful coz the Empress Dowager side with heartless


太上王 to help


In the second trial, a drunker found the bodies and provided it for younger brother to give evidence. Heartless was bewitched by the spirit of the wife and in the end, the truth was revealed.
