23.01.12 农历正月初一 （Mon): Went to Sheng Hong Temple to watch opera. Had been anticipating Xiu Qin Opera for a while so at last today is the day.

I do not really understand today story but nevertheless i do enjoy today show.I do understand the plot but there are certain parts that are confusing.

Story Line:
X fall in love with an princess and marry her. Meanwhile his dad was left with his 18 months old baby. The grandfather met a guy in the street. Having shared their burden with each other, they decided to let their own children marry. However, the grandfather grandson was only 18 months while the other daughter is already 16 years old. Having no choice, the girl take care of the baby and treated him as his own brother. When the son grown up, he fall in love with another lady. As the son is already indebted to his sister, he took his sister as his first wife.






Having Fall in love,X decided to stay in the other nation with the Princess




Because of an misunderstanding, the father misheard his son in law to be 18 years old but in fact the son was only an 18 month infant.


The daughter at first decided to leave. Daughter is casted by 莊金梅, a very lovely xiao dan with nice voice


As the son had no father to take care, the daugher decided to take care of the baby and treated him as her own brother

The child father decided to return to his homeland to find his son









Whole cast came out for CNY songs. Mum had asked me to record this song but i do not wanted a repeat of last year where i am stopped by someone for taking video. Haizz.. can only say disappointment. one of the photos got a boy, this boy is Chen Zhi ming son.. those in FB will sure know one.



张心怡 - xiu qin daughter as the grown up son. I like her as xiao sheng, she had the xiao sheng look, thin and fair..she is only 21 years old

22/01/2012 农历12月29日（Sun): Went to Sheng Hong Temple very late, we reached there at 840pm. Since we will not be able to pray to Tian Gong for 3 years, after our dinner, we went to watch getai.


Was really happy today. Today managed to take a video of Taiwan Xiu Qin wonderful singing. She was actually on stage to promote her opera troupe but Ah Nam made her sing one song. Althought she only sing one song, i am very happy to see her on stage today. We had bought tickets for tml performance, really really anticipating the excellent performance. Her song is so powerful.. really nice. Suddenly miss watching gezaixi very very much, feel like watching on tue again since it is also PH.

20/01/2012 农历12月27日 （Fri): Went to Sheng Hong Temple. We were late tonight. after taking bus, we only reached at 840pm. Then we went to buy tickets for Chu Yi Taiwan Opera Troupe. At the ticket counter, we cannot resisted watching the taiwan opera. I remember that time i told my ex colleague that i liked to watch getaixi, he was liking telling me he and i almost young age.. i am like..???. I know what he meant. Normally young singaporeans (i not so young also lah but i watched gezaixi since Year 2006 in Sheng Hong Temple) do not watch Opera. I only watched Taiwan opera and i truly enjoy gezaixi as much as getai.

I watched for around 945pm after the opera troupe members came out to sing CNY greetings to audience. I had watched Xiu Qin Last year too, their performance are not too bad but it is unfortunate that sheng hong temple do not allow video recording. Actually for me, i wil not record whole show, i just liked certain songs in gezaixi like the 百花开, 茶花女調 and 状元调. It is quite a disappointment but over in youtube, there are dozens of taiwan opera lovers that took video of different troupe in Taiwan and uploaded them to youtube. It is their love for opera that keep Taiwan Opera to become so famous... Singapore Opera, the only troupe i like is xiao qi ling coz they always used taiwanese in their performance.
