In memory of Vesak: 31 May to 29 July 2007
Vesak had crossed The Raindow Bridge to join her elder sister, Pong Pong.
Her bill stating her condition said:
29-9-07 Epilepsy - not responsive to resuscitation - passed away.
Sister and I had seen Vesak for the last time alive at 1.00 pm. We stayed with her for around 40 min. She had cried for us and keep moving toward the door. She want to leave the smelly clinic. But she cannot. She is dehadated, sister said we do not have a choice.
When i reached home at 1 plus, i told mum about Vesak whom is very sad. We had planned to go to Chinatown and at 4 plus while travelling in a bus, i received a call from pet clinic. I cannot hear what the nurse was saying as it was very noisy in the bus so i asked the nurse that i would returned the call later. Mum and I had a real bad feeling. We are prepared to hear the bad news.
When i called, i am told that Vesak had a fit and cannot wake up. She had passed away. Mum and I then rushed to the clinic to collect Vesak body. I thought the vet will pack Vesak body in a plastic bag but he allowed us to take one last look at Vesak. Poor mum burst into tears when she saw Vesak body. I did not cried at all. I guess i had cried earlier when i post the topic on 'Poor Vesak'. I guess i am mentally prepared. I did not shed one tear at all. I pat Vesak for one last time and said to her "Rest in Peace, Vesak".
Vet suggested that since blood test is normal, Vesak could have a brain nerve disorder. Vet said shortly after we left the clinic at 1.45 pm, Vesak had a fit and died. I guess Vesak wanted to see us one last time before she entered Rainbow bridge.
We had asked Vincent to help us bury Vesak in the soil to rest. Right now, Vesak body is still outside our doorstep. I had let Xiami and Ah go go say one last goodbye to their friend from the gate.Xiami and Ah go go will feel it strange that their sister Vesak had gone missing but i cannot explain to them (if only i know cat language) that their little sister Vesak had entered another world to join Pong Pong.
Vesak entered our household at Vesak day this year. She had four months of happiness in our family and we are proud to have her in our house.Unlike Pong Pong where i cried like mad, this time round, i am prepared for the death. I felt sad for the loss but if Vesak choose to end her life today, she will need to go. And I am not crying when i posted this unlike The pong pong topic post again. Actually i felt a heave of relief - at least Vesak can end her suffering on Earth. I am glad to be able to see her alive for the last time. Seeing Vesak this afternoon, i sort of knew that she will leave us soon but i said telling Vesak that she must be strong. Maybe leaving this world will make Vesak ended her pain, maybe she will have a better afterlife rather than to be a cat. Vesak is strong. She had endure her suffering to see her owners for the last time. I am very proud to have her for this whole four months.
R.I.P. Vesak.

Jennifer say:

Sad new- one of the white kitten had died after refusing to eat for two days. Cause of death - unkown. Dad had found him in the drain, died. Dad had burried him under the soil. May the poor kitten find peace and had a better next afterlife.

Pong Pong to the Rainbow bridge-farewell pong pong
Pong Pong had died..This is shocking...on 4 mar (two sat ago), we bought her for sterilization. She was ok and was even fighting with DD after her survery. On sun, she suddendly vomitted..she vomitted for around 6 to 7 times and we rushed her to the vet at serangoon garden. The vet said pong had high fever, he gave her a jet and some antibodies. Pong did not recover. She even vomit the pure water we force feed her. On sun, brother and sister took pong to the vet. The vet told them to leave pong in the clinic for two days where she is suppose to be discharge today. Pong was put on drips and antibodies. Pong was fine yesterday but died today -sudden deathSadly, she died today morning. I remembered a werid dream i had abt pong today, i was eating pong and cutting her into small piece to eat. it a freaky dream and pong died. Is that pong's spirt telling me that she is going to leave our family.
We only had pong for around one month and a half.(she came to find us on new year eve, 30 jan 2006) yet she bring joy to all of us. When the clinic assistant called me to say pong had died and i told the news to mum, she cried immediately. sister and i were also crying openly. Mum said pong had such a sad life - abandoned, in heat and need to be sterilized, and now sudden death. We had try to save her little life.
In her one and a half month with us, we love her musical meow, how she respond to us, how she gobbles her food up very fast, how she climb the window like a monkey, how she used to pant with her tongue out like a tiny dog, how she play 'war of the world' with DD, sadly she even had the chance to be friend with sweetie.
The vet suspected her sudden death to be FIV where the virus came out because of the stress from her sterilization. He asked if we wanted to find out how pong pong died but we rejected him. Why cut pong again when she is already died.
I will always miss her. We had cover her in plastic bag and put her in the rubbish bin. It is sad. Mum reminded me that we should have visited pong pong yesterday in the clinic but it will be sad to see pong pong looking at us and asking why we put her in the vet. She must have been afraid of the place and yet she died alone. I really regreted now not visiting pong yesterday..at least see her lovely face for one last time.
We had took a video of her before she was sterilized. and on sun, sister took many fotos of pong pong because she said pong pong has too few fotos. It is our last memory of pong pong in our house. We will really miss her.
To pongpong, we wish you has a good life not as a cat but as a good human in your after life. farewell pong pong, cross the rainbow bridge with tango (http://celestelock.blogspot.com/). He is another of the poor stray that was abandoned like you. Cross the bridge hand in hand. farewell, pong pong and tango.

Farewell HamHam..Crossing the Rainbow Bridge
Jennifer say:

At last, at today 11 August 2005, HamHam had finally cross the rainbow bridge to join his foster brother, xiaofei. It been Feb since HamHam was ill with some growth under her. Today HamHam had ended her month of suffering..
When i find her, her eye was opened..it kind of make me sad to see her eye not resting in peace. But i kind of happy again to see her suffering and pain gone. I talked her early in June that if she wished to cross the bridge, she can go...duno if it is somewhere in heaven some one can hear and took her away to end all her pain.
I will always love u..hamham...
Lifespan: 2 years and 2 month
still remember hamham used to be v tame ensuff to sleep at my bed, but ever since sweetie come, i kind of neglected her.. but i took some effort to wash her eye with eye drops daily to release her pain of seeing only by one eye.
That time, hamham is very round, at her death, she only skin and bone... hmm so sad to think of her now.
She and her brother, hamie came to our house at 6 mths...in nov 2003... Well... i just hoped hamie will be strong like his sister, hamham..she a good fighter..today she had ended her battle in honour... bye hamham
I just going to type on HH to announce hamham death when i saw this forum:

Rainbow Bridge Poem 2 (1st poem on Thursday, April 21, 2005)
Jennifer say:

i was reading a book called"what cats speak" when i read this nice poem on rainbow bridge. The website also has the same poem..here what it read:
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
Poem by Paul C. Dahm (as what the flash aimation stated)

Crossing the Rainbow bridge
Jennifer say:

Hamham my female drawf hamster is getting thinner and skinny. Today, i was dropping eye drop into her eyes when she lick the eye drop that drop on my hand..she look thirsty so i bottle feed her with fresh water. She drank and drank. I think she will soon be crossing the rainbow bridge with this situation.
She used to be v round but considering she is ill and a senior citizen ( more than 2 years) it about time she may join the hamsters bubbies in HH Rainbow bridge.
I happened to come to this site dedicated to loss of pet in rainbow bridge.
http://made-in-afrika.com/kittens2cats/bridge.htm
Here what the poem say:
Creation has begun a circling tide;
Retrieving and restoring
Or abandoning, ignoring; but always
Succors each and every one of us in
Stride.
Into this world is born a many grateful things
Never asking or demanding a
Great amount of love,
There we find some answers to some elementary things:
Heaven sends us messages from high above.
Eventually, we find ourselves at loss, and
Reaching out for those who may have left.
And, out there, is a Rainbow Bridge that's
Incrementally crossed
Never quite in sight,
But there,
Over those who are bereft.
When we find ourselves left barren
By a soul that's been recalled
Remember that we have, stretched on high above, an
Integral, solid link to those that
Death has caused to walk across that
Great
Expanse that has allowed us to be unconditionally loved
