16.01.11 (Sun): After a break of 16 days, I had finally watched getai and also my idol host. Quite happy with watching getai. Luckily i came with my own chair as the crowd is out in full force. Today hear the temple committee 太子 sing 明天, i like his song. HH know that he is anxious, so HH allow him to look at him while he sing, very nice of HH. Know 太子 in FB also so quite surprised that he is the committee for 保生庙.

This is the one i heard sing by Alice One Wen Ling at 17.10.10 Hougang 斗母宫 getai. Had just uploaded the age video to my youtube account. Alice Ong is a hot babe - watch how she dance, very nice dance. I finally uploaded my video into youtube as i promised to do so in my 17.10.10 entry.
Such old video liao but equally entertaining.Getting a bit addicted to uploading video since i now had a bit of "窍门" for video uploading. still lousy at video compression but this is a good start. I think my lousy skills is only 30% only, still a long way to go. Really admire those getai lovers whom can spend most of their time uploading youtube videos with good stardard. Sometimes i just do not have the time to upload my videos. And if i do have the time, i cannot figure out how come this is so bad nor how to get the setting right. Now i had a slight idea of the setting, it can be better but i really need more time to figure out why so this is why i only get 30% 'gang hu'(Hokkien)
Kindly forgive me if my video is not up to standard and i do understand it is not good but nevertheless, i had tried to do the best that i can. I had disable auto share link to fb. hmm.. bad video should not be shared so openly in fb. But i will post every video i uploaded into my blog.
30/12/2010 (Fri): We had specially bought the Countdown tickets at our Hwi Yoh CC two weeks ago. The tickets only cost us $4 ($2 per person) provided with free bus to and fro to the Countdown party location at Buangkok, goodies bags for us. I think the free transport is a very good idea. Last year at the Countdown party at Cheng San CC, mum and i were almost stranded in Ang Mo Kio and when we managed to take a bus, it was madly packed.
Luckily we did not take the bus to the area as the getai countdown only started at 930pm. We are told to take our free bus at 8-8.30 pm - if we do take the bus, it will a bit rush for us (and we know the party will not be that early) so we decided to take the public transport to the area. We took bus 88 at around 850 pm. The area is only 1 bus stop away so we arrived at 9 pm. Took our goodies bags that consist of a party pack and 1 pack of mini buns. We also got free popcorn - long time never eaten any popcorn, tasted very yummy.
There are plenty of empty chairs and full tentage coverage. We had chosen our seats quite near to the front area.
I quite enjoy today Getai Countdown party. Singers wise are only so-so. But the atmosphere were brought to a high level when the time for 2011 arrived. I had taken video of this great moment. Our Jalan Kayu MP, Mr Wee Siew Kim was also present in the Countdown party.
Today party ended at 1210pm. We then took the free bus home. Reached home at 1245am. I liked the free bus provided. Will go again next year :)
Although there is no firework like marina, no TCS artists like vivo, no taiwan singer like Boon Lay Countdown party, we here in heartland Buangkok are blessed with good entertainment, full tentage, lot of chairs, a full high for the Countdown, party pack, goodies bag and buses to take us home. I feel blessed.
