17.03.10 （Wed) 农历2月2日 - Today Went to Blk 113 Lorong Ah Soo to watch getai. I had thought i am going to Blk 173 to watch getai as i do not know that there will be another getai at Blk 113 today. Mum and dad had seen the stage at Blk 113 but they do not know about the getai at Blk 173. So there is sort of miscommunication happening - i thought of Blk 173 but mum and dad thought of Blk 113... in the end dad boom boom me to Blk 113....
I do not feel very comfortable watching getai today when Xu Qiong fang keep emphasize to Pei Zhi and Jin Ling that they all must put their fringe off the face.. Poor Pei zhi was saying that her face dun suit fringe off her face but Qiong Fang was teaching her the goods of how one must put their fringe off their face for luck or duno what old tradition belief.. i think Qiong Fang just dun get it -- pei zhi dun look nice with no fringe in front of her face. Bangs actually slim Peizhi's face s lot esp when she tie her hair back.
I wish Qiong Fang can stop saying the fringe issues as i felt i am been washed together with pei zhi too(both direct and indirectly). I do not feel good standing among the audience and watching Qiong Fang 'wash' Pei zhi and 'washing' me indirectly. I had originally long fringe but cut to sweeping fringe as i wanted a new change. I am glad of my new look actually as it is boring to have the same hairsyle for the last 10 odd years. Changing my fringe i felt really give me a more refreshing look. I am sticking with bangs and sweeping fringe till i grow sick of my look. Mum had no issue with me having sweeping fringe.
I really do not like qiong fang as i felt she is a stick in the mud woman. I usually enjoy Qiong Fang hosting and singing but i just wish she can avoid saying singer's hair styles as she must also understand that there are young audience that have similiar hairsytles, it is easy to offend audience at the same time too. I do not see qiong Fang saying Yuan Jin bangs - what's wrong with qiong fang - double standard. Aiyo, Please lor, now is 2010 and not year 1968. I am quite disappointed with qiong fang today. Luckily Ah nam did not commment much otherwise today will be a sad day for me.
