11.02.11 (Fri): Went to watch gezaixi. Not satified with today story even though the performance is not bad. I disliked watching tragic story. Not much to say, just let photos tell the story. Sad sad story.

The marshall had two beautiful wives. All of them enjoy watching opera


The marshall had an assistant that is equally bad as him


The family went to watch opera hosted by a famous artist called hai tang


After watchin the opera, the family forced their way to the forbidden backstage just to see hai Tang. Hai Tang grand nephew was bully by the marshall's assistant


At the street, the grand nephew beat the marshall assistant but was discovered and caught.


The Boss told Hai Tang the arrest of the nephew


Hai Tang went to the marshall's house to request the marshall's wife to help him. They fall in love and had a relationship that night




When the marshall wife and Hai Tang were walking, they were seen by the assistant and the two wives.


The marshall was happy to have a son. Unknown to him, his wife had exchanged the daughter for the son. In reality his wife had give birth to Hai Tan's daugher. Hai Tang had the daugher


The evil assistant spread rumour that the wife and hai tang had a relationship. Luckily the clever wife turned the table against the assistant. The assistant, the two small wives and Hai Tang were chased out. Hai Tang was scarred on his face


16 years passed by. Hai Tang daugher's Qiu Bu was already a beautiful woman. In order to earn money, she sing at at an inn


The Stupid assistant was chipped and still trying to create trouble

The marshall wife and son. The son told the mum that he met a woman called Qiu Bu with a dad called Hai Tang. The mum ordered the son to find the girl suspecting the girl to be her daugher.

The wife identify the long lost daughter. the wife asked her daugher to find Hai Tang


Hai Tang assisted in a opera. After an accidential hit by the lead actor, Hai Tang vommited blood. Just then, the wife and daugher arrived. Hai Tang died in their hand after acknowleding them

07.02.11 （Mon) : Went to Blk 603 AMK. Really cramped at the area, luckily my kind meimei helped me to chop 2 seats for mum and me. There are only 6 rows of chairs, really miserable.

I only managed to arrive at 8.30 pm. Getai started at 6 pm so i missed like 2/4 of the show. But the rest of the performance is not too bad.

Small happening today:

Me: (Busy busy taking video of the CNY songs by the gezaixi performers)

Uncle Committee said: Xiao Jie, here cannot take video

Me: (Still Busy, But I nod my head and continue to take)

Uncle Returned and said: Xiao Jie, Here cannot take video, got see the sign (Hmm, uncle no ler, ur sign too small, my eyes equally busy so cannot see also ler. All i see is ppl heads ler)

Me: Continued to take video but annoyed with uncle,give angry blue cat stare to uncle, give a ok sign to Uncle (dun care abt u lah uncle, just let me record this finish can or not)

Uncle Returned with a Energizer attitude: Xiao Jie, cannot take video - proceed to place fat hand over my lens.

Me: &#$&*#@#^**^ (in mind) - close my lens

Uncle disappeared from behind me.

Uncle: (Thinking in mind, this xiao jie so difficult, i must recognise her face, next time i will monitor her myself).

Returning to his committee area, complaining (walao, just now that xiao jie dun listen wan - blah blah blah Blah - all complaining in Lao Hokkien)

OR - Returning to his committee area looking like Justice Bao

OR Returning to his committee area cursing me in mind - sibeh stubborn, dun listen to me. Sibeh buay song in mind also

OR - Returning to his committee area saying, that xiao jie sibeh stubborn, u all monitor her, dun let her record somemore

His committee members (Thinking in mind) - wah, so stubborn young woman... hahahahahahah

Hahaha, recalling the a bit peisah situation seem so funny... hahahahhahahahahaha.. MUhahahahahahaha....

Uncle look fierce, i wonder what he will say to me on next friday should he remember me.

Next Friday At the Entrance:

Uncle: (Look at me, kena shocked, me again) Say: Oi(Or xiao jie), remember not to take video hor

Me answer Choice 4: Okay Okay, i be good okay, come uncle, i show u my bag, u want, only got camera but camera can also take video one. Hmm, uncle uncle, my handphone also got camcorder, now what?
Me answer Choice 5: Okay Okay, i be good, i just take photos only can? U all also banning photos taking? (Shocked Look!!!!)
Me answer Choice 6: HAH, WHAT u saying? Cannot hear, music too loud.

Choice 8: (Not happy to pass tickets to fierce uncle, i gave to kind uncle instead)

Choice 9: (Not looking at him, just concentrate on the stage), invisble fierce uncle.. i cannot see at all, i just walk in. dun care.


Energizer uncle very fierce one, cannot play play... hahahahaha

Muhahahhahahahahahahahahahahaha... So funny to think of Next Friday answer... But i most likly be a Guei Guei xiao Jie. Dun wan to be banned mah... hahahahahaha

I liked my blog, it release all my negetive feeling i had over this incident.. Muhahahahhahahahaha

Was equally disppointed with today gezaixi, if there is a part 1 and part 2 performance, the performance dates should have indicated so. Today is part 1 of the performance only. Cannot watch on weekday also. Haizzz.

05.02.11 (Sat) - Went for third night at Sheng Hong Temple. Love today comedy performance, very excellent and fantantic performance. I think i am giving watching getai a rest till this taiwan troupe ended their performance in Singapore. Their performance is really too good to be missed. While getais are a all time round year events, Gezaizi by Taiwan troupe only happen twice a year - once during CNY period and second time during May or June period.

I had already make plans to watch on tml, Fri to sun next week. Xiu Qin came down to shake hands with audience again, once again, shake hands with her. Think with or without hongbaos, she will shake hands one mah.

Story :戏名：甘国宝过台湾


Gan Guo Bao and his two cousin, Ong and Jiao were out






All three vowed to be together in needs of help


Rich guy was in the street when he was poured by water thrown by Ong


Ong scolded the guy and said if he want, he can marry her. In the end, Ong and the rich guy marry. Ong insisted on taking charge of rich guy fortune


Guo Bao met a mysterious man whom told him to go to Taiwan where he can become a court officer




Guo Bao approached Jiao for money to travel to taiwan. Her father then advised Guo Bao to find Ong




Not only Ong looked down on Guo bao, she chased him away


Jiao father lend a small amt of money for Guo Bao. Before he left, Jiao gave her jade pin for Guo Bao to ask him to pawn it if he needed money


Guo Bao took a boat to Taiwan

Xiuxin meet Guo Bao and after learning he needed a job, she took him home


Xiuxin mum opened an inn so Guo bao job is to be the runner to serve the guests


A court officer came. While enjoying his meal, he received news that the mountain robbers are on the way to rob them. As the officer is outnumbered, Xiuxin,her mum and Guo Bao decided to help

It was a sweet victory for the officer and the helpers. Guo Bao get a officer role as a result of his help

Ong told tales to Jiao dad about Jiao


An angry Jiao'dad decided to bring Jiao to his friend to discipline his daughter


Ah Ji - she is the wife of the officer in Taiwan


Ah Ji decided to bring Jiao to Taiwan






At the house, While collecting the tea cups back, Jiao recongised Guo Bao. Both were reunited.


The rich man


Guo Bao decided to go back to his homeland. Now he is a officer








Guo Bao was grateful to his uncle for helping him when he needed money. Guo Bao told his uncle that he will marry Jiao and Xiuxin






Ong was captured by Guo Bao





Ong was received a trial




Guo Bao wanted Ong to fulfil her vow to go under his legs. Ong begged her cousin and her uncle to help but they refused


Ong tried to kill herself but was stopped by Guo Bao. Ong was forgiven



Ong and her husband reunited. Her husband decide to be strict to Ong as Guo Bao scolded her husband for allowing Ong to be in control of the family funds. Story ended.
