21/1/2010 （Thu) 农历12月7日： After 1 week 'break' from getai, I finally get to watch getai again. Actually last Friday had though of going to Defu getai but dad said there was a dinner function going on and no seats. Dinner function is already an off factor and then no seats. I actually do not mind no seats but mind the dinner function as this made the standing area to be limited. Without any good standing location, it is impossible for me to view anything not to mention that i wanted to take any photos.
Ok, back to today getai. I am rather late today, only managed to reach the place at 8.45pm as I had walked all the way to Hougang B686 from my block at Serangoon North. I find myself very 'ku luck' for walking that a distance, took me like 15 minutes only ler. I hated waiting for SBS buses esp when i watched the bus drove away before i can reach the bus stop so no choice walking is better than silly waiting at the bus stop for the damn bus.
When we arrived there, we thought that there are no more seats as many ppl were standing along the main road area. But i spotted dozens of chairs on the other side of the area, near to temple area so i asked mum whether we wanted to try to see if those chairs can be taken. No one stopped us from taking two chairs so we are able to sit comfortably to watch the getai.
He Pei Ling had sung two new 'ah pek' songs, i quite like her voice when she sang the first song, somehow, her voice project the new song very well. For her second ah pek song, it is also another new song. According to Pei Ling, Ah pek had gave her the songs lyrics as peiling is actually Ah Pek 'god daughter'.
Wang Lei today is very 'poor thing', keep saying the wrong things at the wrong time and Ah pek slapped him on his head for talking rubbish. BTW, The 大二爷伯 are seaten in the central area. The temple committe had invited other temple 大二爷伯 to come to watch the getai. But I rather liked Wang Lei, he is very funny most of the time. Hosting with decent-speaking Lim Ru Ping make him even more funny. Wang Lei had created a storm a few week ago when he revealed telephone number of a singer. Today He had revealed 1 number again and was washed by Ru Ping immediately not to reveal any more number. I guess old habit is hard to kick away but Wang Lei meant no harm.
Sometimes, People said without thinking as they had meant that as a joke but when the joke goes overboard, others will be offended. I guess everyone need to learn from this : Joke but dun go overboard. That point apply to myself as well as sometimes when i think about what i said that i thought was meant to be a joke, it did sound offensive to others. Ok... end of this silly talk and back to the photos that i took today....
