27.05.10 - Decided to go to Cheng Huang Temple to watch Getai. 明华园天字戏剧团 is really a very good opera troupe. Their performance is 没得比. Every much enjoy their performance althought i do not like the story plot today.
Today is a tragic show....
Below is the story:
Opera performing today
Wang and Gao each had a daughter and son whom fall in love with each other but the daughter is pregnant. Wang son is called 枝玉（I will called him shortform in 'Yu'). Guo daugher is called 芸堂 (i will called her shortform in 'Tang').
Both wang and gao are very angry and strongly disapproved the marriage.
Yu and Tang begged their parents' to give them the blessings for their marriage. They failed sadly.
Offial Du paid Gao a visit as he is interested to ask Tang to be his daughter in law but Gao said that Tang was already pregnant. Du suggested Gao to let Tang abort the baby
Gao tried to force his daughter to drink the abortion medicine but Tang ran away
Tang and Yu decided to elope as they are opposed by their parents to be together
Gao appeared and a fight happened between Yu and Guo
Meanwhile the emperor and his mum were visiting the country on a citizen dressing visit.
The Imperial family are met with robbers
Gao and Yu whom happened to be in the same area managed to save the emperor
The emperor decided to play matchmaker and arrange for the marriage of Tang and Yu. Tang had a jade Guan Yin whom the Empress Dowager loved very much. So Tang gave her jade Guan Yin to the dowager.
Du ah Duo and Gao other daughter
Tang Cried in her mother tomb when she heard a voice. The voice belong to 王九。Wang Jiu revealed his secret in his dead wife tomb. Tang then realised that Wang Jiu was her birth father and she is just a adopted child
Father and Daughter are finally together after 18 years. When Wang Jiu heard that the jade Guan Yin was missing, he was very angry and vowed to steal it back from the Imperial Family. Wang Jiu asked Ah Dou to take his father offical rode to wear.
Meanwhile Ah Dou went to find Wang. Wang revealed a black secret. She is actually the first wife of Wang Jiu. Tang's mum was Gao wife where Wang Jiu had a affair 18 years ago but Gao raised Tang when his wife died. This meant that Both Tang and Yu are siblings with different mums but same father
Emperess Dowager birthday where all the officers came to give blessing to her. Wang Jiu took the chance to sneek in wearing Du robe
Each officals take a chance to admire the Jade. When Wang Jiu turn to hold the jade, he revealed his true identity and ran away
Ah dou was eventually captured
Wang Jiu gave the jade to Tang when Yu suddenly banged in
Wang Jiu was captured when he was overpowered
The emperor ordered the trial to began
Wang Jiu was lead to the trial area
Ah Dou was sentenced to death. His dad also died on of a heart attack on the spot when he learnt that his only son was to be dead
Wang Jiu was sentenced to death too but Yu asked if Jiu had any last requests. Wang Jiu wished to see Guo whom had been kind enought to raise Tang. Wang Jiu also requested Yu to find his first wife and son. When Wang Jiu revealed his wife name, Yu realised that below man is actually his birth father. He had sentenced his own father to death
On the way out, Wang Jiu kneel down to thank Yu. Yu immediately vomitted a fresh blood out
Yu blamed his mum for not telling him about the truth of his birth fahter news
Yu was heart broken when he know he had commited incest with his own sister. But he did not tell Tang the truth. Tang was already 5 month pregnant. Yu promised Tang to bring her to see her father
Trial Time
Wang Jiu turned crazy when he learnt from Wang that Yu was his son. But sadly Wang Jiu was killed on the spot
By the time, Yu and Tang arrived, Wang Jiu had died. Tang was told the truth but she also learnt that Yu had gave her poison to drink. When she died, Yu committed suicide also
