09/02/2010 （Tue) 农历12月26日: We had went to Kovan to watch Getai today. Heard FB said this is a million dollars getai. There are 16 singers for today getai that started at 630 and ended at 10.55pm. As i only managed to reach the place at 7.35pm, i had missed quite a number of singers.
From FB information, the 16 singers are 刘心玲,宝贝姐妹,李宝恩,李佩芬,朱峰,陈友乐,蓝小玲,孙强, 庄清玉,陈凯晴,廖文凯 (小王雷) ,小樱花,麦卉,黄凯琳,何佩霖. I had missed the following singers: Sun Qiang, Mai Hui, Lee Pei Fen, Lan Xiao Ling and Xiao Yinhua. The rest of the singers i had stay till the end of the show. I really love Bao En dressing today, very sweet princess.
There is a small drama where the police had interupted to the performance by insisting ending the show at 10.55pm. So the final singer Liu Xin Ling did not really get a chance to sing. While Qiong Fang was explaining this to the audience, Liu Ling Ling pulled her away and requested her sister to sing. In the end, Liu Xin Ling sing a small part of her song but i had thought that the whole matter was not handled very properly. Maybe i am sentitive but i felt that if a singer cannot really had a chance to sing, there is no choice, do not need to get ugly over this tiny issue. Agree that singer will feel disappointed but if time constrait is a issue, that singer had little choice but to accede with the law and regulations.
As 3 singers - Chen You Le, Pei Ling and Zhu Feng had to sing Ah Pek songs, the rest of the singers that follow can only made do with 1 or 2 song. Today is the first time i heard Zhu Feng sing, Mum said that his singing is quite good and i agreed with that.
