Edited additional info @ 6.09.10,1005 pm: Mum had asked me this morning when Wang Lei said the first getai in Singapore was held. I just recalled i never add this in my blog. The first getai then known as 大夜会 was held on 08.10.1942.
04.09.10 农历7月26日 （Sat): Today went to Blk 521 Hougang to watch getai. Not bad as today host Wang Lei is a commedy King. Quite enjoy his hosting. He is known in getai for "本土天王". He should have another title called: "搞笑天王"
Today Wang Lei Had bought his new student, Mei Mei from Ipoh. Not too bad for a person without any stage experience. Just that she need more practice to power up her vocal to ensure her singing is louder than the live Band. Liked how Wang Lei was alway training youngsters into getai. All his studends are doing very well now in getai. Mei Mei is quite a fortunate girl to find such a good teacher.
Today we audience had a pleasant surprise. Our Foreign Affair minister Mr George Yeo joined us in watching getai for around 40min.
Mei Mei is Wang Lei's new student. Wang Lei said she is selling flowers in Ipoh
Mai Hui - When she arrived, Mr George Yeo arrived. Last year when Wang Lei and Mai Hui were on stage, Mr Yeo also arrived to watch the getai. Today is also the same.. quite an honour for them

Wang Wei - first time when i saw him at AMK, I am shocked at how thin he looked. Second time i started to listen more attentively to his songs and appreciate his good singing
Wang Lei insisted 碰头 to have a PK with Wang Wei. Obviously Wang Wei is the winner as his key was a high 'G' key.
