Jennifer say:
29/10/2009 (Thurs) 农历9月12日: Today We went to Hougang 斗母宫 to watch Getai. Second time watching at this place. Today host is 钟耀南 & 李佩芬.
Today singers are Chen Meiqi, Lin Wei Hua, Jun Long, Sun Qiang, Xiao Qing, Liu Xin Ling and Chen Jian Bin. Lin Ru Ping sing two songs with Ah Nan. The song 'Xi Feng' sing by Jun Long and Lee Pei Fen was very funny esp when they purposely change the lyrics for this song. Ah Nan was 'Ah niu', he also sing another version of this song, ah nan is quite funny too. I had not seen Jun long for a long time - he looked quite tanned nowaday. Mum was asking if jun long was our company 7th month event emcree, i think he was our emcree in year 2007 when i first joined the company.
Today we reached the area at 8.05pm with Chen Meiqi being the third singer. Dad had went early to help us 'book' chairs. Dad said that there was this nasty auntie that tried to take lot of chairs and sell the 'seats' to audience as a result, some ppl had agrue with that auntie over the seat issues. I think for me, i will rather sit further away from the stage rather than to let the auntie earn $2 per seat. But the reason for why that auntie continued this act so many times is because audience encourage her to do this act by paying her. Walao, so desperate to earn $$, this kind of method is too low lor, i seen other older aunties whom earned money in more decent method like selling cans or newspaper. The world had changed.
