5/10/2009 (Mon) 农历8月17日, mum and I went to Blk 502 Ang Mo Kio open field to watch Getai. Today host is 许琼芳, live band - 神风 organised by 精义娱乐制作. We arrived at around 8.30pm, still managed to find ourselves two seats. The performance ended promotly at 1030 where the last singer Lee Bao En only managed to sing one song as according to the host, the policecar was already patroling the area to ensure the getai ended at 1030 SHARP.
Today getai is in celebration of 齐天大圣千秋. The temple had Getai for three straight days starting from 3/10 to today at 6/10/2009. First night host was by 陈蓉乐, second night host by 李佩芬, third or last night by 许琼芳. I had missed the sunday night getai as i am unable to reconfirm at the website whether there was getai going on. *sigh* after Mid autumn, noone posted much of the other getai around Singapore in facebook but i am looking forward for the getai at the end of this month near Geylang Police station - can get to see Hao Hao host again. Talking abt Hao Hao, still yet to buy his concert ticket yet - still duno whether to wait if he is still selling the cheaper tickets at his getai or ask someone with NTUC card to help to buy or just anyohow buy the standard ticket but still not figure out how to buy online.
There is actually a getai at AMK Blk 603 today (06/10/09) but i am not prepared to go out - need to do this do that - eg ask Dear Sweetie to eat her dinner, feed Sweetie 'siblings', wash the cats dishes, do some housechores. Sweetie is esp sticky to me, as i type this entry, she is sitting beside me on another chair. On days when i am out, Sweetie will do her business only when i am home at 11 pm plus. Poor gal...
I do like to see a performance hosted by Lee Pei Fen but nevertheless, today getai is just as good. I learnt a new word from the host - L.K.P. Was practising this word with JH whom was cracking with laughter when i told her the meaning. So notty of us...starting to appreciate Getai and its highly entertaining effect on us audience. I liked this song sing by Lee Pei Fen "桃花香". Jiang Hui should be the original singer, cannot really find other singers that sing this song.
Tonight audience, the tentage was not covering the whole area so it is god blessings that there is only slight rain

By popular demand, the temple committee requested Lee Wei Lun to sing No 3 mummy. He's Good, i liked his smiling face, very sincere looking.

Xiao Ming zhu connected with the audience by singing 王绍君. In order to keep the audience to their seats for this almost 10 mins song, the host said that if audience walk away during the song, their 4D numbers will 'run away'.
