Watching Getai Performance at 金凤庙 Arumugam Rd - 03/10/2009 农历8月15日 (中秋节- 丽星舞台秀

Today Getai is at 金凤庙 Arumugam Rd - hosted by 蓝 天/(Xiao Bao Bei)王仪香，Live Band from 吉 祥, organised by Li Xing Entertainment.

As there are 14 or 15 getai going on, we decided to plan where to go from the list of our possible areas this morning :


1) Old Tampines Rd 仙姑殿 - inconvenient to park a mini bus, we do not know whom is hosting this show. The area is also quite cramped so we may not be able to find any seats.



2) AMK Blk 502 - 陈蓉乐，飞航 - very near us but i do not know whom is Chen Rong Le, neither does Mum know so this is out too...

3) 金凤庙 Arumugam Rd - 蓝 天/王仪香，吉 祥 - a big carpark to park the minibus so we selected this area. We are actually quite familiar with the area as we always went to Cheng Huang Temple to watch gezaixi. Another reaso why i select this Getai area is because i want to watch 黑猫组合. I did not make this choice wrongly as 黑猫组合 really rocks. Like Bao Bei Jie Mei and Hao Hao, 黑猫组合 is performing at AMK Hub NTUC club too. 黑猫组合 performance is at Every Saturday night.

I loved the host 蓝 天 very much. He had a powerful voice that can project his voice very well in the background music. This is what i called a true singer. Some Getai singers can sing but the voice is not that powerful against the music, no kick at all when i heard the weaker singers sing. Yes, today finally managed to hear him sing "Bao Qing Tian", very well sing. Actually tonight is the first time i watched Lan Tian Host. Heard that tml he is returning to Taiwan, yes, like Hao Hao, he is also a taiwanese. His imitation as Taiwan singer 阿吉仔 is also very entertaining and good.

I really do not know Lan Tian is so popular in Taiwan till today. He is well know for imitating 阿吉仔 where he is the winner for the hot varity show:综艺大哥大. It is really interesting to know that the media in Singapore did not really emphasis much on Lan Tian Talent (or have i miss the media report?). This site show a number of taiwaness including Lan Tian whom imitated various popular Taiwan singer. It seems that there is over emphasis on other talents like Hao Hao instead of Lan Tian. As there are 14 other getai going on in celebarion of both the Mid Autumn Festival and birthday of the immorals, some singers were late for the performance. If the host know how to sing as well, he can help to sing while waiting for the next singer to arrive. That is the reason why host that can sing well as well command a higher pay in Getai. From what i know, 刘玲玲, 皓皓, 王雷, 李佩芬 are among the popular hosts whom can sing and host well. 蓝 天 is also very good. But i had yet to watch Lee Pei Fen host before, only heard her sing No 3 mummy at 600 Getai performance at AMK 577 the other time. Today i was reading the newspaper, read some Getai organiser mentioned that 皓皓 lacks the experience for hosting but i think that he can host very well, the one at our serangoon north was very well done. I think this year is the first time i am so active on chasing after Getai performance and well after the Lunar 7th month had passed. I am only active at the last week of 7th month after watching Hao Hao performance online. Last time i am damn 'mountain tortoise', only know the host 600 but now get to know other talented singers and host esp my favourite Hao Hao.

Tonight is also the first time i watched Xiao Bao Bei host but duno why half way though the performance, she vanished and Lan tian was hosting alone after Lee Bao En performance. Wonder what happened to her....

Anyway tonight event is for celebration of 青天大帝二将军三将军千秋. There is a dinner going on at the same time. Mum managed to find a seat while i stand beside Mum. But at around 9pm, a very kind temple uncle took the empty seats from the dinner table and offered 1 chair to me. so thoughtful of the kind-hearted uncle. Tonight Getai started from 7.30 pm and ended at 1130pm. If not that Dad had drove his boss's bus to the temple, mum and i would need to leave at 1120 so that we will not miss the last bus at 1140pm.

何佩霖, she sing si er seng ge (original sing by Hao Hao) and a ''di fu"(hell) song that i am not familiar.
